Accessibility

Accessibility, tested rather than asserted.

This website is built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. We test it on every release, we publish what we have not covered, and if a barrier stops you we would rather hear about it than have you leave without what you came for.

What was tested

Every page, both themes, desktop and phone.

Automated checks run against every page in light and dark themes at desktop and mobile widths — 92 renders per release — followed by keyboard and structural review. The results below are from the current release.

Perceivable

Text and background contrast is computed for every element on every page in both themes; images carry text alternatives; colour is never the only way a state is signalled.

Result: no contrast failures across 92 renders.

Operable

Every control is reachable by keyboard with a visible focus ring; nothing depends on hover or precise pointing; all animation respects prefers-reduced-motion.

Known gap: a small number of secondary footer links sit below the 24 px target minimum. They are spaced so they can still be hit, and the sizes are being raised.

Understandable

Page language is declared, heading order is validated on every page, form fields are labelled, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.

Result: heading order and landmarks validated on all pages.

Robust

Semantic landmarks throughout — one main, one footer, labelled navigation — and no ARIA where plain HTML does the job properly.

Result: structure validated on every page.

What we have not done

Saying this plainly is more useful to you than a badge would be:

  • No independent audit. The testing above is our own — automated checks plus manual keyboard and structural review. We have not commissioned a third-party WCAG 2.2 AA audit, and we will say so if you ask.
  • The product interface is a separate scope. This page describes themanageddesk.com.au. The service desk you sign into is the next piece of work, and it is the larger one.
  • Documents and video are not covered. The product film has a written version alongside it on the demo page. Downloadable documents have not been remediated.

Conformance report

A report in VPAT-style format — each WCAG 2.2 success criterion we assessed, its result, and the evidence behind it — is available on request. Email hello@themanageddesk.com.au and it is sent the same day. It is a self-assessment, not an audit, and it is labelled that way.

If something stops you

Describe the page and what happened, and we will fix it rather than debate it. We respond within five business days. If you need an answer in another format in the meantime — a phone call, a written summary, a larger document — ask and we will send it.

Tell us

A barrier you hit is a defect, not an inconvenience.

Every report gets a reply from a person, and the fix goes into the next release. Tenders and procurement teams are welcome to ask for the report before they ask for a demo.
